Hypertext Project

I chose to create my website about a subculture. The subculture I decided to pursue was the art of Taekwondo. I included the information of the sport of taekwondo, pictures I took when I went to watch, I explained different things, like belts and ranks, and also commandments, schools code, some lingo, and some more information to click on. I think the hardest part of this assignment was finding out how to publish it to the web. I didn’t want to do it wrong and screw it up, so I am waiting till class on Wednesday to ask Professor Austin. Some cools things I put in were hyperlinks that when you clicked on a key word it would take you to a different page I made or a new site all together. I put several links to Taekwondo websites throughout my site, including 2 on page 9. I am photography major so I tried incorporating photos in my project as much as possible. Visually seeing the kicks, punches, and blocks helps a lot with visually learning it. I enjoyed making this web page and I think this is a great source of getting information across rather then writing a 10 page paper. Also I think this was more interesting because it incorporated creativity through, photos, colors, fonts, and designing the entire sight, and I think that is what writing a paper lacks.
